"Échelles Célestes" is a project that aims to make the viewer experience the duality of celestial objects, both giant and microscopic, through a dramaturgy embodied by characters.
The general objective is to offer participants a collective and personal experience allowing them to explore these notions of scales and point of view.
We will have a physical model of a city under a vault on which appear celestial stars.
These will be represented by physical objects observable by all participants offering a collective experience.
The vault will be represented by a half-dome on which we can project a starry night.
On this model a telescope will be placed at the disposal of users in order to target an area of the celestial vault.
By looking through a dedicated device, a user will be able to have a close-up view of the targeted area in virtual reality; for example, he will be able to travel virtually to one of the targeted stars.
Through this personal experience, the user will have the opportunity to discover a virtual world with which he can interact by orienting the telescope and zooming in to observe the scene at different scales.
The purpose of this project was to teach us the realization of specifications developed with the client as well as these constraints.
But also the development of an architecture from scracht and to pratice the development in agility.
